Tigist Gashaw

Tigist is one of many victims of the war in the northern part of Ethiopia. Her family lived in a town that is currently in the war zone where her mother was a housewife, and her father was a driver.

Her father was forced by the local troops to drive them to the battlefield and disappeared since December 2020; Alongside her mother and brother they were displaced to Gondar as her mother was brought up here.

However, Gondar is overcrowded with displaced war victims and her mother is unable to work and feed them properly.

Currently, they live in a small room which is rented with no electricity and water.
